Fine Arts Exhibit & Taste of Coconut  with local chefs

Join us as we celebrate creativity, inspiration, and the boundless imagination of our local artists. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a curious observer, “For the Love of Art," Curated by Lucien Downes” promises to engage, inspire, and ignite your passion for the arts. 

 

The "Taste of Coconut" Cooking Competition hosted by Teddy's features local chefs preparing coconut-based appetizers, beverages, and desserts.

Crucian Coconut Festival

This event promises to be a fun and informative experience for everyone, whether you are a coconut enthusiast or just curious to learn more about this versatile fruit.

11:00 am    DJ Syndicate Sounds Opens

11:00 am - 5:00pm               

Children’s Games, Crafts, Petting Zoo, Mr. Earl Childs (Puppeteer)

Miniature Pony Rides by James Jungle Petting Zoo.

 

Puppet shows about all things COCONUTS! -the tree of life! [Created by Mr. Earl Childs and his puppeteers show will run: every ½ hour throughout the day.].

 

Playhouses will be on site made from coconut trees for children to play in!

[constructed by Mt. Victory Camp out of coconut palms!]

 

Childrens Tent:

Childrens Museum of St Croix will be at Bethlehem! Come listen to the story Chica Chica Boom Boom children will decorate their own letter in their name, also weaving with coconut tree fibers, bowling with coconuts, the BIG Bubble machine! And more…

 

Activities Tent:

  • Create coconut palm play huts with Mt. Victory Camp (11:00-1:00)

  • Weaving coconut fans with Mt. Victory Camp (1:00-3:00)

  • Weaving coconut visors with Mt. Victory Camp (3:00-5:00)

  • Cloud Dough fun using Cultured Naturals Coconut Conditioner (3:00-6:00)

  • Big HUGE Bubble Station with the Children’s Museum of St Croix

  • Blow Bubbles using Bubble Wands made from coconut stems!

  • Face painting with Mr. Earl Childs and Princess Liz

  • Paint wooden coconut trees and hibiscus ornaments for the holidays

Art & Crafts Demonstration:

  • Edmund Fieulleteau (Woodworker) - demonstration using lathe on local woods to create coconut utensils.

  • Teachers from GHCDS and Lew Muckle—demonstration on How to Make Paint brushes using the Coconut Palm Leaf stem and the coconut ‘burlap’ fiber.

  • Teachers from GHCDS and Lew Muckle- How to Make Black Paint with Coconut Charcoal! - teachers from Lew Muckle School and GHCDS will guide you in learning how to make your own!

  • Ayla Silverly -Coconut Palm Basket Weaving Demonstrations (in the Activities Tent)

  • Paul Larsen -Coconut Palm Weaving Creations: birds, grasshoppers, containers (in the Activities Tent)
